To Preserve, Promote, Perpetuate and Present Jazz as America's original art form.
The Jazz Station was born as a fundraiser for a not-for-profit organization that set up workshops and seminars for parents to help their children succeed in school.
After a reorganization, the WETF Board decided to rededicate the station as a non-profit all volunteer entity for the purpose of expanding the audience for Jazz, the art form.
