Our Mission and History of Our Station

To Preserve, Promote, Perpetuate and Present Jazz as America's original art form; using our funds, time and talent to that effect.

Funds raised beyond the needs of the station itself, to be applied to scholarships for college music majors, support of Jazz musicians and to fund Not For Profit venues that promote Jazz music performances.

WETF The Jazz Station was born as a fundraiser arm for our Not For Profit Organization that raises funds to implement workshops, lectures and seminars, to educate parents on how to help their children succeed in school.

Funds were not being generated and after a reorganization, the Board decided to keep the station going, using it to meet its own educational purpose by educating listeners in Jazz appreciation.
